A FAMILY PASSION
We set up the business in 2016 after deciding that our gruelling 9-5 jobs were not for us anymore.
We had struggled for years to buy decent craft cider in the Midlands and so we decided to bite the bullet and put all our savings into doing something that we knew we loved.
Victoria’s Father, Phillip Stenton who was a Chief Petty Officer in the Royal Navy was instrumental in the development of the Company and so it was decided to dedicate one of the vintage ciders after him.
“The Officer” was one of the first ciders we ever developed and is aged in Bourbon cask and tastes incredible.
Our ciders are made from 100 % freshly pressed juice every time using a variety of different cider apples.
It gives a distinct natural flavour that you just can’t get from your run of the mill ciders in pubs.
Our traditional still ciders are enormously popular in pubs and bars throughout the area.
We are overwhelmed by the support we have had so far with our craft product. We look forward to the exciting new developments that our family run business has in store in the future!

THE CRAFT PROCESS
All of Caney’s Cider is pressed by the Caney family, even the two youngest children will help in parts of the process.
The picking and pressing can start in September of each year and carry on for months until all the apples have been sorted.
Where possible we recycle the pulp from the apples and feed the delicious treat to the local pigs.
Some of our juice will go straight into Bourbon cask while other juices will go into tanks.
The cider you drink from us has taken lots of care over the months prior to buying it and you will definitely taste the craft, time, energy and love that has gone into each variety!
